The Cycle Hub is offering an exciting opportunity to work in a friendly, open-plan workshop in Grimsby Town Centre. Interesting and varied work for dynamic, passionate individuals with the optional potential to progress to becoming one of the Directors of the company. We are a social enterprise and so operate in a different way to most other businesses. We want to improve the facilities for all cyclist in our area. We have flexible part time hours available now as well as plans to expand in 2018 to a second Cycle Hub site. Immediate start for right candidate.
Skills/Experience Required Essential: · Excellent technical knowledge – you must have the ability to work on any type of bike to a high standard and be able to diagnose faults and fix them · Good communication skills – you must be able to explain to customers the work that needs to be done in a friendly, clear, non-patronising manner and give advice and details of cost with accuracy. You must also be able to pass on your knowledge in a clear manner as you will be training workshop assistants. · Self-motivated – you must be able to work on your own initiative pricing up jobs and working within time scales as well as maintaining a consistently high standard of workmanship without supervision · Good organisational skills – you will need to prioritise jobs, work in a safe, productive and efficient manner, maintain a tidy workstation and keep accurate worksheets / checklists. You will also need to keep an eye on stock levels and order spare parts before they run out.
